Less time chasing information, more time for what matters.

Reduce interruptions

Get the information you need, when you need it.

Keep teams aligned

Everyone on the same page, throughout the day.

Find information fast

Guidelines, pathways, leave cover, supervision and more. All in one place.

It started with a simple frustration.

As a clinician, I found myself constantly searching or asking colleagues for information that was buried in spreadsheets or external websites.

This added up to between 10 and 72 minutes per day of my time wasted.

I built RALPH to make those everyday answers easy to find, so we can focus our time and energy on what matters.

Reduce inbox noise by up to 35%.

I measured that the exact same questions might be asked up to 9 times per day (each!) within my practice of 20-30 clinicians.

Often, this revolved around whose responsibility it was to do something on that specific day.

RALPH reduces friction for the whole team by making answers as easily accessible as possible, using intelligent search functionality and a holistic approach to practice management.

Project roadmap

Founded by a GP registrar. Shaped by the people who use it.

  1. Phase 0Foundations & clinical safety

    Complete
    • Understanding the problems and the why, the practice needs and how to address these.
    • Securing integrations with relevant providers, so practices can continue to use their existing HR software if they wish to.
    • Embedding clinical risk management and drafting Clinical Safety and GDPR documents, such as DCB0129 and DPIA.
  2. Phase 1Initial prototype

    Complete
    • Building the first working version of RALPH and testing it with fictional data.
    • Ensuring the backend and database are secure and compliant.
    • Designing the user interface, optimising for the smoothest possible user experience.
    • Presenting the initial prototype at a Practice Clinical Meeting to gather initial thoughts and feedback.
  3. Phase 2First practice pilot

    In progress
    • Testing RALPH in a real GP practice where I work as a clinician.
    • Training colleagues, particularly those involved with rota management, in the use of the software.
    • Gathering feedback from colleagues and refining features.
  4. Phase 3Expanding to local practices

    Coming next
    • Understanding how other practices currently manage rotas, leave and room allocation, then adapting RALPH to support different teams and ways of working.
    • Adjusting features to find the right balance of customisation, on a per-practice and per-region or ICB level.
  5. Phase 4National rollout

    Future goal
    • Making RALPH available to GP practices nationwide, informed by real-world experience and feedback from the pilots.

I am a GP registrar working part-time at a North Central London GP surgery (now under NWL ICB).

Having worked in a range of services within the NHS since I graduated with an MBBS from Queen Mary University of London in 2019, I have first-hand experience of how the pitfalls of Health Information Technology affect patient care amongst other things.

Outside clinical work, I dedicate my spare time to creative projects I am passionate about, such as RALPH and personal-use software.

Alongside this, I am interested in collaboration and opportunities to help shape the future of the NHS and build innovative clinical software.
